Three and Four Year Old Children

Our three and four year old program uses the Links to Literacy curriculum. The curriculum focuses on letter recognition, phonological awareness, and critical thinking skills. Playtime is also a big part of our program because research shows that children learn best through play. This is where they learn to come up with solutions to problems and answers to questions on their own. Each center in the classroom is specifically designed to focus on building different kinds of skills. It may look like a child is just playing with connecting people, while they really are using their fine motor skills that will allow them to properly hold a pencil. The children are introduced to many different types of art materials and processes. We encourage children to explore with the materials, even if it makes a mess. Who knows, your child may be the next Picasso!
